8 Reasons You Must Keep Going

Sasha Ardin

Whenever I talk to women about following their dreams, whether it's one-on-one or via a podcast or at a conference, my biggest piece of advice is always, just start. I encourage them not to get too caught up with having everything lined up perfectly or waiting even one more day to get started. The way to gain momentum is to take action immediately and follow that with the next step and the one after that.

What I've been realizing over the last few months as I embark on new projects myself, is that once you've started, there is a phase that comes next that can be just as challenging.

Maybe the product you've launched doesn't sell right away, or the article you wrote doesn't get a lot of engagement. Maybe you try to set boundaries at work but now your calendar is blocked until 7pm. Suddenly those feelings of excitement and enthusiasm that propelled you as you set off to achieve your dream turn upside down.

You start questioning if you're doing this right and whether you should be doing it at all.

It is precisely at this moment that you MUST KEEP GOING.

You absolutely must keep going and here is why:

You keep going because it's the right thing to do (that's why you set out to do it in the first place).

You keep going because you are committed to living your purpose.

You keep going because you know that everyone starts somewhere.

You keep going because it's only a failure if you give up now.

You keep going because if you don't give it your all you'll never know what "might have been". (If only I hadn't given up!)

You keep going because you know in your heart your product/service/idea/voice is needed.

You keep going because you refuse to succumb to your ego - the part of you that always needs to be seen a certain way.

You keep going because in order to get where you want to go, where you're meant to go, you need to relentlessly, persistently show up every day.

“In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins – not through strength, but through persistence.” – Buddha

If you have a dream in your heart, start on it today. And when you hit that first rock in your path, don't fight it. Instead, just keep showing up until you flow right past it.

PS. I am launching a 3-month program for women who feel they have achieved success on paper, but that something important is still missing.

I'm specifically looking for women who:

  • may be established in their current career but feel a lack of fulfillment or satisfaction
  • feel frustrated and want to change things but are unsure of where to begin
  • want to reconnect with their inner knowing so they can live their life from that seat
  • desire greater meaning in their life and want to feel more aligned to your true self
  • want to feel more confidence in the decisions they are making towards their future
  • are great at caring for others, but have a hard time prioritizing their own desires

If this sounds like you, send me an email (kena@allyouare.ca) with the word SPARK and I'll send you more details.
