You Are Exactly Right On Time

I went to Montreal for a quick trip with my guy this past weekend.

I lived in Montreal for 3 years while doing my BSc in Environmental Science at McGill many years ago, so I wanted to show him all my old haunts.  We walked through campus, past all three apartments I lived in with roommates and I pointed out to him the places we would eat, drink, and party (most gone but some still standing!)

It made me reflect on who I was back then and the crazy ride I was about to go on.

  • At 20 (while in my first year away at university), my Dad passed away from cancer.

  • At 27, I married my high school sweetheart and moved to San Francisco to work in my dream job.

  • At 30, my husband got mysteriously and seriously ill and we returned to Toronto.

  • At 36, I co-founded a business, BRIKA.

  • At 38, my husband passed away after an eight-year-long illness.

  • At 40, I got remarried and had my daughter, Nova.

  • At 41, I reveled in new motherhood while running BRIKA.

  • At 42, I hosted my first workshop (about unlocking your creativity!). I also launched All You Are.

  • At 43, I started speaking at events and conferences and was featured on the Marilyn Dennis Show.

  • At 44, I started working with Seth Rogen at Houseplant as VP of Merchandising.

  • At 45, I left my marriage and went part-time at work to focus more on All You Are.

  • At 46, I left my full-time job to grow All You Are into an empowerment platform and community for women. I also fell in ❤️.

  • At 47, I closed the product side of my business and celebrated my first full year of working with women through my signature program, Be All You Are and 1:1 coaching.

A few months ago I turned 48 and I no longer wonder about what I'm meant to do.

I have found my life's calling, my purpose.

If you aren't there yet, you're not behind.

You're exactly right on time. ✨

Don’t let our youth-obsessed culture convince you that it’s too late to make a change. The path is never straight, it's not meant to be.

Life's adventures (even the hard ones…especially the hard ones) show you who you really are.

And if you choose it to be so, you are just getting started.

 With love,

Kena ❤️
